I took this picture yesterday afternoon on my way to pick up some hay for our goats. I had seen the field the prior afternoon and thought it might make a good photo so I took my camera with me. I love the low light and long shadows and the contrast in the middle of the picture between the light green and golden hay. I got lucky too with the perfectly positioned hay wagon and round bales silhouetted against the sky at the top of the rise. I have obviously done some post processing on the picture and am getting some looks that I like with this process.
I have also been doing a lot of printing since I recently got a new printer. I have been printing many of the pictures in black and white which is quite a change from all of the colorful spring photos I had been doing. The pictures above and below are good examples of how different the mood of the same scene can be depending on whether or not they are in color or in black and white.
